Your Heath is your Wealth In a Nutshell By Angela Shearer – Precision fitness Who does not want to look better, feel better and perform better? If you didn’t you might want to rethink your purpose in life. Healthier people are happier people ,point ! John Button said, “”We sit at breakfast, we sit on the train on the way to work, we sit at work, we sit at lunch, we sit all afternoon, a hodgepodge of sagging livers, sinking gall bladders, drooping stomachs, compressed intestines, and squashed pelvic organs.” The result of this continuous unhealthy cycle is a general state of despondency that reduces our ability to perform physically, emotionally and mentally which means we generally give our second best to the people we love and the tasks we perform on a daily basis. Most people know the basics about health and nutrition and yet don’t take the action required in order to turn their health around to achieve the favorable balance. It is only later in life that we realize the lesson and by then the damage has been done. Take every opportunity in every day to understand the wealth of your health. Life takes on a whole new meaning when you start to become capable of doing things without the hindrance of ailments and bad health. Health means having sufficient energy to get through the day, it also means having the ability to resist illness and heal quickly. If fitness came in a bottle it goes without saying that everyone would have a great body but the sad reality is that the only way to keep your health is to understand where it stands on your priority list and how badly do you want a healthy mind and body. These days it is not important … its essential !! We need to remember that health is not limited to the physical but also encompasses the mental and without the balance there can be no success. A good attitude and respect of your health starts the mental health process and this will inevitably lead to improving your physical health. The evolution of awareness is therefore a key factor in making the decision to become healthy and this is possibly the most difficult part of the process. Making the decision to change eating patterns and implement exercise programmes that will have far reaching benefits begins with a desire to have a more satisfying lifestyle. A man too busy to take care of his health is like a mechanic too busy to take care of his tools and the end result is predictable. The desire for change begins with understanding the possible consequences of neglecting your health and the negative impact that it could have on all aspects of your life. The process begins with identifying possible problem areas like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, reduced energy levels, insomnia, burn out, stress, smoking, excessive drinking and obesity. The consequences of neglect are often irreversible and most of us know by way of natures signals when our health is inadequate but little is often done to prevent problems as we have become so accustomed to treating ailments as opposed to avoiding them. |
